“From Research trip to Master of Ceremony”

Farah Fallatah, a Mechanical Engineering student at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), represented KFUPM and Saudi Arabia in an international research program at the University of Alberta, Canada. She Accompanied Dr. Abba Abdulhamid in research trip to U Alberta, Canada.

Her research focused on additive manufacturing under the title:

“Design and Development of a Cutting Mechanism for Carbon Fiber Co-Extrusion in Additive Manufacturing.”

During this project, she gained hands-on expertise in 3D printing, CAD design using SolidWorks, assembling robotic components, and testing innovative mechanisms.

Beyond her research, Farah also served as the Master of Ceremony at the Prairie Advanced Manufacturing Meeting (PAMM), a two-day international conference that connects researchers and industrial leaders in advanced manufacturing.

This experience not only advanced her technical knowledge but also showcased her leadership and representation skills on an international stage.
