ME Expo 251 Showcases Student Innovation and Excellence

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is pleased to announce the successful organization of the ME Expo, held on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, during Semester 251. This academic event reflects the department’s continued commitment to promoting experiential learning, innovation, and excellence in engineering education.

 

 

The ME Expo featured a wide range of student poster presentations showcasing projects from several Mechanical Engineering courses, including:

  • ME210 – Mechanical Engineering Drawing and Graphics
  • ME303 – Mechanical System Design Lab
  • ME423 – Energy Conversion
  • ME472 – Corrosion Engineering
  • ME575 – Advanced Corrosion Engineering (Graduate)
  • ME595 – Special Topics in Engineering Mechanics (Graduate)

Student groups demonstrated strong technical competence, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through projects addressing real-world engineering challenges.

 

 

 

 

 

Faculty members and students actively attended the exhibition, where they viewed, evaluated, and constructively critiqued the presented work. The interactive environment encouraged academic discussion and knowledge exchange, and many attendees expressed appreciation for the high quality and originality of the showcased projects.

As part of the ME Expo, a poster contest was organized to recognize outstanding student projects. The following students were awarded top positions across the participating courses:

The ME Expo 251 provided an important platform for students to showcase their academic achievements, enhance their presentation and communication skills, and receive valuable feedback from faculty and peers. The event also reinforced collaboration between students and faculty while highlighting the department’s dedication to hands-on learning and innovation.
